BUILT-RITE
STRUCTURAL SERVICES LTD.

Structural Moving, Lifting and Replacements

Built-Rite Structural Services Ltd. is Vancouver Island’s trusted house moving and lifting company owned and managed by Tom Forest. Established in 1998, Built-Rite Structural Services Ltd. has come a long way to have expanded our team and service capabilities to include excavation and house lifting. For the past 15 years, we have been employing our own staff and equipment to carry out these tasks, which used to be outsourced initially.

Our goal in every project is simple: to earn appreciation from our customers. Reach out to us for professional underpinning, foundation replacement, basement dig outs, excavation, taller basements, deeper basements, house lifting, post and beam replacement, rot remediation, and drainage replacement.

Committed to Heritage Conservation

We are proud to say that we have saved over 425 Heritage Homes from the wrecking ball, kept them from the landfill, and given them a further 100 or more years of life. Most of our Customers have built a new rental suite in the new full height basements we have provided for them. Given the stunningly high rental rates that new suites in older neighborhoods command, our Customers not only get an exceptionally high rate of return on their investment, their property becomes financially self-sustaining. A full height basement and a large new revenue stream combine to dramatically increase your property value.

Expert Assistance for General Contractors

Every crew member at Built-Rite Structural Services Ltd. is required to have some construction experience related to lifted buildings. This experience can be obtained from structural construction projects, including basement remodelling, installing new crawlspace foundations under old houses, or replacing damaged posts, beams or walls.

We emphasize that our house lifters understand the pain points of construction contractors related to inaccurate house lifting and raising. This encourages and guides our team to perform house lifting and levelling accurately, easing the trades that follow. Correct shoring, levelling, and lifting also optimize time and money spent on different trades in structural projects. With our crew by your side, you can provide more accurate bids to your clients as we ensure that the job is done right the first time.
